That day we met: the dating service worked out!

Online dating to become our starting point

What should I tell you first…? Well, we met online with Janette at match.com, like all other people, you know, who are too busy at work and at home, having rest and who use to appreciate time, not wasting it on anything that boring as traditional dates.

By that time dating sites like were no something new to me, but I had never taken them too seriously. Well, honestly speaking, it was fun, of course, to flirt with other girls, leave comments to their photos and so on, but I didn’t think about possible future relations. In fact, I didn’t believe that such online communication can actually develop into something more serious than just an ordinary online chatting.

But you know what? It was my experience that finally resulted in something bigger and I realized that everything is possible with online dating! Janette seemed to be quite a nice person, we talked a lot about anything and everything just to exchange our ideas, but then one day Janette asked me: “What if we meet to have a dinner together?” And it was a seemingly simple question that caught me flatfooted in less than a couple of seconds. It seemed to me that it was a sudden decision from her side to suggest us going to some place to have a meal and so before I thought it would be great I pondered over that for a while.

Finally, I managed to type that and so I answered: “OK, why not? Where shall we meet?” And so we met at the restaurant which she had chosen – with Thai food served there… By the way, I’ve got nothing against Thai food – you never know for sure how good it is until you try it yourself, you know.

But, back to the story of mine – I saw her standing near the restaurant in her dress. She looked absolutely fantastic! But then, of course I had to apologize for my late coming as it was pretty difficult to flag a taxi that evening… Actually I felt that awkwardness of the moment I use not to face, but Janette took it all easy, just greeted me and smiled at me and so we came in.

Frankly, I was afraid that the line of small misfortunes I usually have in such situations will continue, but nothing of the kind – everything was just so great that we both had fun. No efforts, no misunderstandings of any kind – just an evening we spent together and then decided to do that again next week. Now we have been dating for a month or so and I must say nothing can be compared to having time with Janette! Thanks to match.com we have found each other and that’s really awesome.
